Mindful Living Programs
Mindful Living Programs are fully accredited, professional education retreats. We offer 24 CME's/CEU's for health care professionals such as physicians, nurses, psychologists, and counselors. These retreats are held in several locations in Northern and Southern California.
Mindfulness Meditation is a way to quiet and calm the mind by paying non-judgmental attention to your moment-to-moment experience. This type of meditation helps restore and maintain a sense of personal balance and develop the skills to avoid emotional and physical depletion. This is important not only for persons who are facing stress-related conditions, but also for persons who want to avoid physical or professional burnout.
We need to care for ourselves as we attend to the needs of our clients. In fact, learning to balance the emotional demands of the healing relationship with other personal and professional pressures is central to the healers art and vital to professional health and longevity.

Mindful Living Program Faculty
Steve Flowers, MFT, is director of the Mindful Living Program at Enloe Medical Center in Chico, California. Steve has provided accredited education in behavioral medicine for hundreds of physicians and other medical professionals. A dynamic and popular teacher, Steve has been deeply invested in meditation practice for 23 years.
Bob Stahl, PhD, has founded 7 Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programs in medical centers throughout the San Francisco bay Area and currently directs programs at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, and Los Gatos. Bob serves as a Senior Teacher for the Oasis Institute for Mindfulness-based Professional Education and Training. He is a co-author of "A Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workbook", "Living With Your Heart Wide Open", "Calming the Rush of Panic", and "A Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workbook for Anxiety". Bob is a long time practitioner of mindfulness meditation, having lived and practiced over eight years in a Buddhist monastery and is the guiding teacher at Insight Santa Cruz and a visiting teacher at Spirit Rock and Insight Meditation Society.
Both of our presenters have completed training with Jon-Kabat Zinn.
